New Delhi: In a remarkable achievement, girls have surpassed boys in the CBSE Class 12 board examinations by more than five percentage points, as announced by Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj on Tuesday.
This year, the overall pass rate stands at 88.39%, showing a slight increase from the previous year's 87.98%.
Girls achieved an impressive pass rate of 91.64%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 85.70%. Notably, transgender candidates achieved a perfect pass rate of 100%, a significant improvement from last year's 50%.
A total of 111,544 candidates scored above 90%, with 24,867 achieving over 95%.
Additionally, more than 129,000 candidates have been placed in the compartment category.
In total, 1,692,794 candidates participated in the Class 12 board exams.
