Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman remained unsold in the IPL 2025 auction. However, now he has returned to the IPL. Delhi Capitals signed Rahman for 7 crores in place of Australia's explosive opener Jake Fraser McGurk. Just a few hours after this, there are clouds of doubt about Mustafizur playing in the IPL. The Bangladeshi pacer wrote a cryptic post on social media, after which the situation is unclear about his participation in the IPL. Rahman told this that he is going to the UAE, and he should be remembered in prayers.

Mustafizur Rahman posted his photo on Instagram and wrote, 'I am going to the UAE to play against them. Remember me in your prayers.' Bangladesh has to play a 2-match T20 series against UAE. The first T20 match of the series will be played on 17 May, while the second and last match will be played on 19 May. After this, the Bangladesh team has to tour Pakistan.

Now reports have emerged that Mustafizur Rahman has not been issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The BCB claims that they have not received any communication from the IPL on the issue. Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told ESPN Cricinfo, 'Mustafizur has to go to the UAE with the team as per the schedule. We have not received any message from the IPL officials. I have not received any such official message from Mustafizur as well.'

It is worth noting that the Delhi Capitals will be in action on Sunday (May 18). Which is between the two T20 matches between Bangladesh and the UAE? Delhi Capitals will then face Mumbai Indians on May 21 and then play their last league stage game against Punjab Kings on May 24. Which is a day before the first T20 between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
