The countdown for JEE Advanced has begun. JEE Advanced exam will be held on 18 May in two shifts. Paper-1 exam will be from 9 am to 12 noon, and Paper-2 exam will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. In such a situation, what things should the student take care of at the last moment? Which mistakes should not be made, and how to make a master stroke while sitting in the exam hall so that their dream of IIT can be fulfilled. To know the answer to all these questions, we spoke to Ashish Sharma, a post-graduate from IIT Roorkee and a senior faculty member of Unacademy located in Lajpat Nagar. Let's know what tips he gave.
Expert Ashish told that the biggest advice being given to the student at the last moment is that they should not try to solve any new YouTube video or new question paper at all. Not only this, but do not try to read from any new book at the last moment. If you do this, your confusion will increase, and you will get confused even in the concepts that you have cleared earlier, and on the day of the paper, everything will get mixed, and you will not be able to write. So focus on your writing speed, and now just revise what you have memorized earlier.
Avoid negative marking
Expert Ashish Sharma told that while writing the paper, the student has to take care that the questions whose answer they know first, they should solve them first, and after that try to solve those questions in which they have even a little confusion. Take special care not to let negative marking happen. Because in this, negative marking is minus two. Apart from this, the writing speed should be good so that the paper is completed on time. Even if the paper is long, make your writing speed such that you can solve the entire paper on time and also read all the instructions properly, so that there is no scope for any mistake from you.
Check your exam center a day before
He said that many students make the mistake of going to see their exam center on the day of the exam, some are not able to find the center on time, and some are late in reaching the center. In such a situation, you should check your center a day before, what its location is, and what its distance is from your house. Leave your house accordingly because you have to reach the center by 7:00 in any case and you will be given a seat by around 8:30, so take care of time and take a good sleep 24 hours before the exam so that you do not feel sleepy in the exam hall and your energy remains intact.
