Ingredients
White pumpkin - 250 grams
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Alum - 1/2 tsp
Rose water - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 1.5 cups
Recipe
- First of all, take a white pumpkin and wash it thoroughly, and peel it. After this, cut it into square pieces.
- Now, with the help of a spoon, make holes all around each piece. Now, put 3-4 cups of water in a large vessel and boil it.
- When the water starts boiling, add the chopped pumpkin to it and boil for 15 minutes. When the pumpkin pieces become soft, turn off the gas.
- Now remove the pumpkin pieces from hot water with the help of a sieve and wash them 2-3 times by pouring cold water over them, and keep them aside.
- After this, put sugar and water in a pan and boil to make syrup. When the syrup starts boiling, add boiled pieces of white pumpkin to it.
- Cook the pieces with the syrup for 15-20 minutes. After this, turn off the gas and take out the pumpkin pieces onto a plate and leave them for 4-5 hours.
- Delicious Angoori Petha is ready. You can store them.
