The first match in the two-T20I series between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bangladesh (BAN) will be held on Saturday, May 17, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh will be in action for the first time since drawing the two-match Test series at home against Zimbabwe last month. The Bangla Tigers will have happy memories of their last T20I campaign. They whitewashed the West Indies 3-0 in the Caribbean in December 2024. New skipper Litton Das will want to help Bangladesh win back-to-back T20I series.
Meanwhile, the UAE are coming off a disappointing campaign in the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two. They played three ODIs against Scotland and two against the Netherlands from May 4 to May 14. The Rahul Chopra-led side managed only one win against Scotland but lost the remaining matches.
