Jamui, Bihar – A shocking case has emerged from Bihar’s Jamui district where a 26-year-old man, Munna Kumar Ravidas, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. His body was discovered on a railway track beneath the Katuna overbridge, triggering outrage among locals and raising serious questions about whether this was a suicide—or a brutal pre-planned murder.

Not an Accident, But Murder: Family's Serious Allegations

Munna, a resident of Penghi village under Barhat police station, had married Bindu Kumari—a girl from his own village—around six months ago, despite strong opposition from her family. Following their marriage, the couple shifted to Chennai, where Munna started working in a factory to support them.

However, three months ago, Bindu returned to her maternal home to attend her brother Guddu Kumar's wedding—and she never returned to Chennai. According to Munna's mother Ranju Devi and sister Vidya Kumari, the in-laws had been threatening him, and he had received a call from his wife’s brothers Guddu, Diwakar, and Raju (an ITBP soldier) with a promise of “reconciliation.”

He boarded a train and reached Jamui railway station at around 8:30 pm, where his brother-in-law reportedly received him. But after that, he was never brought home.

Grim Discovery: Multiple Injuries, Fake Suicide Note

The next morning, Munna's dead body was discovered on the railway track. His body bore deep injury marks on several parts—signs of severe assault. The most telling evidence, however, was the suicide note found in his pocket, which the family categorically dismissed as fake. They claim the handwriting doesn't match Munna’s and suspect it was planted to mislead the investigation.

The Railway DSP Ejaz Hafiz Mani confirmed that the body had not been hit by a train, as initially suspected. Instead, FSL reports indicate the murder occurred at another location, and the body was later placed on the track to simulate an accident.

Tragic Irony: Died on His Birthday

In a heart-wrenching twist, Munna died on his birthday. According to his mother, he had returned home with hopes of reuniting with his wife and taking her back to Chennai. Instead, his journey ended in death—allegedly at the hands of his own in-laws.

Sister Vidya Kumari, who had reportedly been receiving threats from Bindu’s family too, claimed, “My brother was lured into a trap. He was tortured and murdered. This was not a suicide.

Villagers Demand Justice

There is a tense atmosphere in the village, with residents demanding immediate arrest of the accused. The family is devastated, and anger is simmering among locals who see this as a cold-blooded killing in the name of family honor and ego.

Local law enforcement officials have assured that all angles are being investigated, and no theory has been ruled out. DSP Mani stated that “every aspect, including digital evidence and call records, is under scrutiny.”
