Ngidi, 29, has departed the team to play for South Africa in the World Test Championship final against Australia the following month. This season, he made one appearance for RCB, taking three wickets on May 3 against his old club, the Chennai Super Kings, as his team won by two runs.

Before the team’s last league match against the Lucknow Super Giants the following day, Muzarabani, who paid INR 75 million to join RCB, would be available for selection starting on May 26. Rain absolutely ruined RCB’s last game against their bitter rivals, the Kolkata Knight Riders, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.
