Barcelona’s goalkeeper Szczesny whom they signed in the last summer transfer window proved to be an amazing signing as they won three titles and his contribution didn’t go unnoticed. Following this, Laporta has confirmed that they are planning to make him stay for further season as they have also proposed a new contract for the Keeper. It’s upto him now whether he wants to stay or leave the side as their first-choice goalkeeper Ter Stegen is also back in the squad after a long injury.

Barcelona’s summer acquisition of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has proven to be a masterstroke. Signed in the last transfer window to bolster the squad in the absence of Marc-André ter Stegen, Szczesny rose to the occasion and played a pivotal role in the club’s remarkable treble-winning campaign.

The experienced Polish shot-stopper delivered consistent performances throughout the season, making crucial saves in high-pressure moments. His presence between the posts provided Barcelona with the stability and confidence they needed during Ter Stegen’s injury spell. From La Liga to the Champions League and Copa del Rey, Szczesny was instrumental in helping the Catalan giants secure three major titles.

Recognizing his impact, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has confirmed that the club has offered Szczesny a new contract, hoping to retain him for another season. However, with Ter Stegen now fully fit and back in the squad, the ball is in Szczesny’s court. Whether he chooses to remain at Camp Nou and fight for his place or seek guaranteed minutes elsewhere remains to be seen.
