According to a story in India Today, the picture of former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria has been taken down from the Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium in Jaipur, although it doesn’t explain why.

This comes after Kaneria, a former cricket player for Pakistan, posted a video accusing Pakistan of being responsible for the Pahalgam incident.

He has also questioned the Pakistani Prime Minister’s silence.

“Why has Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif not yet condemned the Pahalgam terror attack if Pakistan had no involvement in it?” he wrote. He said that Pakistan fosters terrorism.

After being convicted of spot-fixing in county cricket in 2012, Kaneria’s seven-year international career came to an end with 79 matches played.

Kaneria has spoken out about the prejudice he experienced on the Pakistan cricket team, claiming that he was mistreated because he practiced Hinduism.

“I was playing county cricket and doing well in my career. Inzamam-ul-Haq was the only captain who gave me a lot of support. He had Shoaib Akhtar with him. A number of Pakistani players, including Shahid Afridi, bothered me and refused to dine with me. The major individual who often encouraged me to convert was Shahid Afridi. ANI cited Kaneria as stating, “Inzamam-ul-Haq never used to talk that way.”

Why was the picture of Danish Kaneria taken down from Sawai Mansingh Stadium?

Pictures of the Pakistani cricket player were allegedly taken down from Sawai Mansingh Stadium by the Rajasthan Cricket Association. Following this directive, the image of Danish Kaneria on the stadium grounds was also taken down. In fact, the gallery outside the association’s headquarters at the stadium has photos of a lot of the players.
