girlfriend Katie Alexander has broken her silence over engagement rumours to the Irish TV presenter. It comes after the couple made their romance Instagram official on Wednesday (May 21) with a string of loved-up posts online one year after he announced his split from . Now, the blonde bombshell has addressed rumours that she's tying the knot to the broadcaster after she posted a new selfie.

The 43-year-old marriage counsellor could be seen wearing a striped shirt as she showed off a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger. She captioned the post: "Time for a coffee in between clients?" but before Katie was quick to clear up any misunderstanding and clarified: "Before anyone jumps on the #ringgate bandwagon, the camera is reversed so... RightHandRingFinger!"

Although the 65-year-old GB News presenter and marriage counsellor, have been dating since last summer, the couple had yet to cement their relationship status on social media.

But earlier today the couple took their relationship to the next level when the counsellor shared some sweet snaps of the love birds online after enjoying a romantic outing with the Irish broadcaster.

Sharing a video reel from a recent dog walk with her pooch Dottie, she set the montage of snaps to the hit single What a Beautiful Day by The Levellers.

It featured candid shots of the couple enjoying the glorious sunny weather. Katie captioned the post: "Lovely weather... Lovely company" followed by a sun emoji.

The pair, who have been enjoying romantic getaways and date nights, appear happy and relaxed during their spring stroll. In one photo, Katie leant her chin on Eamonn's shoulder as they smiled for the camera in sunglasses.

Another snap showed the blonde bombshell in a polka-dot dress alongside Dottie, as the posed with Eamonn in the afternoon sun. Eamonn appeared as smart as ever, opting for a stylish quarter-zip fleece and aviator sunglasses. He even poute for one selfie as they soaked up the sun.

Their post marks a significant step in their relationship, marking one year since Eamonn confirmed his separation from Ruth Langsford, 65, after 14 years of marriage. The sun-drenched snaps are believed to have been taken days before the former Sky News anchor fell off his chair live on GB News this morning (May 21).

The TV presenter took a tumble of screen at around 6.15am as he fronted the breakfast show alongside his co-star Ellie Costello. His stunned co-host could be heard saying "Oh my gosh" as an almighty crash was heared in the background, leaving contributor Charlie Rowley in shock.

Then Eamonn's voice is heard of-screen reassuring his colleagues, exclaiming: "I'm fine, fine, fine, carry on, carry on." Charloe could barely get his words out as he attempted to keep the show afloat in a professional manner while the broadcaster composed himself once more.

However, GB News footage showed him stuttering as his eyes continued to flick down to the floor in shock. Shortly after wrapping up the segment, the show went straight to an advert break as they made sure the star was okay away from prying eyes of viewers tuning in at home.

After a lengthy six-minute interval, the broadcaser returned to the airwaves and reassured viewers with a joke, chuckling: "I'm alive" before blaming the "wonky" wheels on his chair.

He said: "They're very wonky wheels on the chairs we've got here, as a matter of fact, we don't really like the chairs here. It was a shock for me because I had a fall two weeks ago in my bathroom that hospitalised and that hit me right in the back. That hit me again right in the back. Really, really sore, really sore."
