'Dance Moms' star JoJo Siwa reunites with choreographer Abby Lee Miller; recalls their first meeting and more

JoJo Siwa recently had a sweet reunion with ‘ Dance Moms ’ choreographer Abby Lee Miller , where the two shared a sweet hug and had a hearty reunion. The two initially met when Siwa was only 9 years old. The singer recalls their time meeting on the sets of the popular show and how everything has been so far.

The two officially reunited on the Orlando sets while Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover conducted an interview of the dance instructor. As Siwa ran on the set while wearing a white T-shirt with Mario Lopez’s old photo from his ‘Saved By The Bell’ days, she first ran to Miller to give her a tight hug.
The adorable reunion brought forth a lot of reaction online, as the two were reuniting after a very long time and had also come a long way since their days on ‘Dance Moms’. As the two reunited on set, Hoover pitched Siwa the question of whether she has any recollection of working with the strict dance instructor from her time on ‘Dance Moms’. The ‘Karma’ singer replied by saying, “I do, actually.” Siwa shared with the hosts and audience how their first-ever meeting was on ‘Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition’, when she saw Miler for the first time entering the room.
Miller shares his first impression of Siwa: “She was a star”Miller also shared about their chance encounter and also talked about Siwa’s first impression on the 59-year-old dance instructor. She shared with the hosts that “She’s smart. She found the camera. She found me; she’s paying attention; she was a star.”
The show also played clips of Miller and Siwa on the sets of ‘Dance Moms’, one of which included the instructor being harsh and rough with the girls that were competing in the competition.
Siwa shared how she still had a lot of respect for Abby. She shared during the interview that “I think the one thing that I would never ever lose for Abby, no matter what, is respect. And I think we could go years from now; you could do anything, but the respect that I have for you will be the same as when I was 9.”
The two even shared a sweet and adorable moment on the live broadcast as they both held hands together, to which the entertainment star shared, “12 years later! I’m 22 now!” Siwa then wittingly corrected the math and said, “13 years later, omg.”
