With a wicket in the final ball, LSG sealed a 33-run win against the table-topper Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad.
Lucknow Super Giants put on a run-fest in their latest IPL 2025 outing, finishing with a mammoth 235/2 in 20 overs at a scorching run rate of 11.75. The hero of the innings was Mitchell Marsh, who brought up his maiden IPL century with a commanding 117 off 64 balls, hammering 10 fours and 8 sixes at a blazing strike rate of 182.81. His innings set the tone for LSG’s dominance.
Opening alongside him, Aiden Markram chipped in with a quick 36 off 24, while Nicholas Pooran provided the fireworks at the death. Pooran remained unbeaten on 56 off just 27 balls, belting 4 fours and 5 sixes, striking at 207.40. Rishabh Pant added the finishing touch with an 8-ball 16*.
Gujarat’s bowlers had no answers. Mohammed Siraj, Rabada, and Rashid Khan went wicketless. Only Arshad Khan and Sai Kishore managed a wicket each. Rashid endured the most punishment, leaking 36 runs in 2 overs. Pooran and Marsh’s brutal hitting left the GT bowling unit shattered.

The innings had a promising start with Shubman Gill (35 off 20) and Jos Buttler (33 off 18) scoring briskly. Sherfane Rutherford added a quick 38 off 22, but regular wickets derailed the chase. Will O’Rourke was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3/27 in 4 overs, while Avesh Khan picked up 2/51.
Ayush Badoni, who had to come in after Akash Singh (1/29) got injured, impressed with 2 wickets for 4 runs in his only over. Akash Deep proved expensive, conceding 49 in 4 overs without success and even triggered LSG captain a bit. The Titans fell 33 runs short, handing LSG a comprehensive win despite scoring at over 10 runs per over.
