New Delhi: Microsoft has announced that Retro Classics has been added to Xbox Game Pass. Among the 70 games available are some of the best from the 1980s and 1990s, including Pitfall, Grand Prix and MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat. To keep games preserved and backward compatible, all Game Pass members can access the collection for free. Xbox consoles, Windows computers, Meta Quest headsets, and compatible smart TVs allow you to access it.
Just as “Retro Classics” does, Nintendo’s retro games give players a chance to play old games on modern consoles. The Antstream Arcade appwhich has over 1,300 retro games, is now available through Microsoft. For a limited time, until June 4, Antstream subscriptions are available to Game Pass members for $9.99 through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft revealed that the library will soon have more than 100 games from Activision and Blizzard added to it.
Gamers can collect achievements and engage in community tournaments and challenges. Titles in the collection include those originally found on platforms such as the original PlayStation, SNES and MS-DOS. Microsoft stated that what they’ve shown so far is just the beginning. As a way to save gaming history, Activision and Blizzard will add more titles to their collection in the future. Even so, the games are part of the subscription and cannot be purchased individually.
These games are part of the Xbox Play Anywhere collection released in 2025:
