Barcelona said Thursday that winger Raphinha has extended his contract, keeping him at the La Liga winners until 2028. The 26-year-old Brazilian’s contract was initially scheduled to end in June 2027, but he joined Barcelona in 2022.
In 91 games this season, the Brazil international has scored 24 goals and contributed 28 assists, marking a breakout record. Coach Hansi Flick utilized him more than any other player.
The only player with more goals for Barcelona this season is Robert Lewandowski, who has 40.
For me, this is very fulfilling and something really unique. “Giving the fans a lot of joy has been a personal goal since I arrived, and it makes me very happy,” Raphinha told Barca One.
My goal is to remain here till the conclusion of my career, and I have discussed this with my family. I want to give it my all.
This season, Raphinha assisted Barcelona in winning the Spanish league, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
In 2022, Raphinha moved from Leeds to Barcelona. He got 12 assists and 10 goals in his first season. He scored 14 goals and provided 16 assists in 2023–2024.
