Along with Ramanand Sagars TV serial Ramayan people remember his other serial Krishna which was a huge hit. This serial which came in the 90s made every actor immortal in their characters forever. There was one more character Krishnas elder brother Balrama who was played by actor Deepak Dewoolkar. He has worked in many Hindi and Marathi serials and is still working but he got popularity only from Krishna. People identify him as Balrma only even today. Very few people know that Deepak Dewoolkar was a cricketer before becoming an actor. He was a top spinner and played in Mumbais Under-19 cricket team. But an accident ruined his cricket career. While playing cricket the ball hit his hand hard which broke his finger. Due to which he could not play the sport. He was dropped from the team. What does Deepak do now? Dewoolkar has now ventured into direction along with acting. He is currently working in Marathi TV serials and directs films as well as music videos. Coming back to Deepak he is also a script writer and has written the story of a film named Saad. He is also the head of Marathi music channel Sangeet Marathi. Apart from this he also worked as CCO in a company named Strawberry Productions Private Limited.
