Harry Brook took a blinder to dismiss Wessly Madhevere on the third day of the one-off Test between England and Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Brook's flying one-handed effort was stunning, which even shocked the bowler and English skipper, , as he could not believe his eyes that the catch was successfully taken.
As the partnership between Madhevere and Sikandar Raza for the fifth wicket was going steadily, Stokes brought himself into the attack and produced a great delivery. From a slightly back of a good length area, Stokes got the ball to bounce a bit higher than usual as Madhevere had no choice but to play it.
The right-handed batter edged it, and the ball flew to the slip cordon, where Brook was stationed in the second slip region. It was not a straightforward catch, as he flew and grabbed the ball perfectly with one hand. Joe Root was very happy for his teammate, while the commentators were excited and praised the efforts of Brook.

The dismissal led to the start of a collapse of Zimbabwe's innings, as they were reduced to 255 from 207/4 when Raza and Madhevere were going good.
Zimbabwe were asked to follow on after they were bundled out for a total of 265 in their first innings, in reply to the home side's 565/6. Brian Bennett's fastest Test ton for Zimbabwe could not help them to avoid the follow on. In the second innings, Zimbabwe were reduced to 7/2, from where Sean Williams and Ben Curran tried to bail them out.
While Williams scored an aggressive 88(82), Curran scored 37(104), whose dismissals brought Sikandar Raza and Madhevere in the middle. The middle-order batters got going, as they took on the English bowlers well. To stop their batting flow, Stokes introduced himself into the attack, which turned out to be a good decision eventually.
