Plans are in place to turn a much-loved amusement arcade into a gym in a UK . Documents were submitted last Monday, May 19 to convert the site from a

, in Lytham St Annes, located five miles south of , is a popular site among both locals and tourists. It has a 4.9 star overall rating on TripAdvisor, with one visitor describing it as a "fabulous family business". A second added: "A family run 'old style' arcade with fun that won't break the bank. Prize bingo for 20p, 2p slots and lots more." They continued: "This business is a community you will be welcomed and you will be back!"

However, as reported by the , Fylde Planners have proposed to change the use of the ground floor. Applicants Your Gym Lytham currently operate a gym on Preston Road which is around four miles away from the amusements in Lytham St Annes.

As well as the amusement arcade, the South Promenade site homes the popular Island Cinema and the Anatolia Seaview Restaurant. The arcade is operated by Crown Leisure Ltd which also owns amusements in Blackpool and at Haven's holiday parks.

An application to add illuminated signs to "improve the external appearance" of the premises were approved by Fylde planners in 2021.

The arcade has a total of 42 reviews on TripAdvisor. Many people have praised it for being an affordable and welcoming family-run business.

Mike W said: "Found this little gem buy going on hoilday with my aunt who as bin going this family run business for years, made very welcome from first visit, takes me back to happy memories of when I was a kid going and playing prize bingo always come out with a smile on my face as always takes me back to my childhood. Staff are lovely and I can see why so many families go back, had food 2 times hotdog and burger excellent food."

Mark T added: "Great food and lovely staff I had scampi and chips and it came with a side salad. You must try a 99 ice cream it's delicious. We will definitely be going back."
