Since it was a Final Destination movie, unexpected sound effects and horror scenes were expected. But for 29-year-old Fiamma Villaverde, the horror became real.

Villaverde was watching Final Destination: Bloodlines at Cinema Ocho in La Plata, Argentina, on May 19. She went with her 11-year-old daughter and a friend to celebrate her birthday. Everything seemed fine until they heard a strange noise from above. At first, Villaverde thought it was part of the film’s sound effects.

Suddenly, a ceiling panel fell directly on her during the movie. It struck her shoulder and arm, causing bruises. She believes that the panel could have hit her head if she hadn’t been leaning on the armrest. Thankfully, her daughter and friend were unharmed.

Villaverde says the cinema staff offered no help after the incident. She had to leave the building on her own and later went to get X-rays. She has contacted a lawyer and is planning legal action against the theater.

The movie being screened, Final Destination: Bloodlines, is the sixth film in the horror franchise. It was released on May 16 and has already made over $180 million worldwide. The films are known for their shocking twists and deadly chain reactions.

The ceiling tile that fell was large enough to cause serious harm. Authorities are now investigating the incident. Cinema Ocho has not released an official statement.

Villaverde is still shaken and says the experience has made her wary of returning to the movies. What was meant to be a fun birthday outing turned into a real-life horror scene.

What was meant to be a thrilling movie night turned into a nightmare that even Final Destination couldn’t script better.
