Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 2.81 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.97 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(up 0.66 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Alkem Laboratories Ltd.(down 4.43 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.85 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 1.29 per cent) and Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.64 per cent at 21451.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 101.5 points at 24732.1, while the BSE Sensex was down 298.71 points at 81334.31.
