As the Mumbai Indians (MI) prepare for the IPL 2025 Qualifier 2, star batter Rohit Sharma gave a playful reply to a young fan’s innocent question. MI are set to face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 2 on Sunday, 1 June, in Ahmedabad.

The fan asked Rohit how one could get him out, and the batter gave a humorous response.

Rohit was in his MI kit, while the young fans were proudly wearing Mumbai Indians t-shirts. A video of their interaction was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

“Sir appko kaise out karne ka? Sir, how can I get you out?” the young kid asked.

“Nahi wo nahi ho sakta. That’s not possible,” Rohit replied.

MI finished in fourth place in the points table after the league stage, earning a spot in the playoffs. They faced the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator on May 30, securing a victory to make it to the second qualifier.

Rohit Sharma produced a stellar batting performance in the Eliminator as the Mumbai Indians took on the Gujarat Titans. The team batted first, posting an impressive total of 228/5 in 20 overs.

Rohit played a crucial role by scoring 81 runs off 50 balls, including nine fours and four sixes, achieving a strike rate of 162. Mumbai won by 20 runs. For his efforts, Rohit was named ‘Player of the Match.’

This season, Rohit has shown steady improvement after a slow start. He has accumulated 410 runs from 14 games, at an average of 31.35 and a strike rate of 150.18, featuring four half-centuries

As Mumbai prepares to take on PBKS in the second qualifier, Rohit’s form will be crucial. The winner of this match will advance to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the final on Tuesday, June 3.
