Riyadh: The Saudi Arabia government has stopped more than 269,600 people going to Mecca for Haj from entering Mecca. Saudi Arabia has taken this decision in view of reducing congestion in Mecca. The government has prevented only people from going to Mecca who do not have Haj permits.

The Saudi government blames people who came to perform Haj without permits in Mecca. A large number of such devotees were among those who died in the heat of 2024. However, there is a rule to punish those who come without permits and punish them like a fine of up to $ 5,000.

Local people also have to take permits

The rule of permit to perform Haj is not only for people from outside. Rather it is also for local citizens living in Mecca. According to the rule, you need to take permits to perform Haj, even if you live in Mecca throughout the year, it includes citizens of Saudi Arabia and residents there. More than 23 thousand Saudi people have been fined for violating Haj rules and licenses of 400 Haj companies have been canceled.

Crowds will increase in the coming days
