According to Znews, Sports Chosun reported that Lee posted a video on her Instagram account, where she is first seen in glamorous attire at a film festival during her model days. Later in the video, she appears with her hair neatly tied up, wearing an apron, and performing various tasks at the restaurant, such as washing dishes, serving food, and moving goods.
“I was once a top model, and now I work in a restaurant,” Lee wrote in the caption. “I’m not the owner, just an employee. It’s okay if life changes. I’m living like this now, so let’s all stay strong.”
Reflecting on her life journey, Lee emphasized that everyone’s path can take unexpected turns.
“From the glamorous stage to working in a restaurant, life’s direction can change for anyone,” she added. “What’s important is having the courage to live true to yourself in any role.”
Lee’s revelation has sparked surprise among her followers, many of whom are curious about how the once-celebrated model ended up in such circumstances.
“Keep going, I will always support you,” commented one Instagram user.
“Whether then or now, you are still amazing,” said another.
“No matter the situation, you always live life to the fullest, it’s truly admirable,” a third commented. “I will always cheer for you.”
In a previous Instagram post, Lee shared that she began working at a restaurant after undergoing surgery in her 30s, initially without any specific plan.
“This has continued for a few years, and I am still working at a cold noodle restaurant now,” she explained.
At 40, Lee made her debut in the entertainment industry after winning the top prize at the 2002 SBS Supermodel competition. She later transitioned to acting and gained recognition for her roles in popular films such as “Shadowless Sword” and “My Wife Is a Gangster 3.”
