The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally achieved their long-awaited IPL title on Tuesday night, claiming victory in the 18th edition of the tournament. While Virat Kohli, a mainstay at RCB since the very first season in 2008, was the obvious centre of attention, the triumph also marked a dream fulfilled for the team’s wicketkeeper-batter, Jitesh Sharma.

After RCB’s win, Jitesh took to Instagram to reveal a manifestation he had written in the dressing room before the season kicked off in March. The note read: “Holding the cup with Virat bhai on my left and DK by my side. And I am hitting a six in the final when the team needs 6 runs from 2 balls. Wish this comes true this season, 2025-26, fingers crossed.”

In a remarkable turn of events, by Tuesday night, Jitesh was pictured holding the IPL trophy, with Virat Kohli on his left and Dinesh Karthik on his right, exactly as he had predicted months before. The post went viral, showcasing the power of positive thinking.

“When I joined the RCB team in March, I was asked to manifest something for myself or the team, and this is what I wrote,” Jitesh revealed.

Although Jitesh didn’t finish the match with a six, his performance played a key role in RCB securing their first-ever title. His 24 runs from just 10 balls took Bengaluru to 190/9. Punjab were restricted to 184/7.
