A significant operation targeting child pornography has resulted in the arrest of 20 individuals across Europe and the United States, as reported by the global police organization Interpol. This initiative, spearheaded by Spanish authorities, commenced at the end of last year when law enforcement identified online messaging groups disseminating child pornography-related images.
According to Interpol, among those apprehended in Spain are seven suspects, including a healthcare worker and a teacher. The healthcare worker is accused of allegedly paying minors in Eastern Europe for explicit images, while the teacher faces charges of distributing child pornography content through various online platforms.
In Latin America, authorities have detained 10 suspects across seven countries, including a teacher from Panama and three individuals from El Salvador. Additional arrests were made in other regions of Europe and the United States. Interpol has also identified 68 more suspects, and investigations are ongoing.
