Internationally acclaimed Pakistani singer Ali Zafar has ended the long wait of his fans by releasing a music video in a completely new style and language — Shina — for the very first time.

A few days ago, Ali Zafar had teased a surprise for his fans on social media, promising to bring something special on Eid-ul-Adha. That promise has now been fulfilled with the release of the song “Karay Karay”, sung in Shina, a language spoken in Pakistan’s northern region of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Previously, Ali Zafar has sung in multiple regional languages including Pashto, Balochi, Sindhi, and Saraiki. This time, he offered something fresh by venturing into Shina, turning Eid into a cultural celebration for his fans.

He shared the music video link on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, extending Eid greetings to his followers. In his message, he stated, “The world should see how beautiful Pakistan is! Presenting ‘Karay Karay’.” He further wrote, “This is a tribute from me to the beautiful land of Gilgit-Baltistan and its warm-hearted people. Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones.”

The music video, which also features singer Salman Paras, showcases the culture, traditional dress, and scenic beauty of Gilgit-Baltistan. The 3-minute 25-second video highlights the vibrant spirit of the region through captivating visuals and melodic tunes.

The lyrics of the song were written by Zafar Waqar Taj, with composition by Salman Paras. The production was handled by Ali Zafar and Ali Mustafa, while Zafar himself took on the role of director and producer.

Despite being released less than 24 hours ago, the video has already crossed 77,000 views, and the number continues to climb.

Fans and music lovers have showered the new release with praise, commending Ali Zafar for his musical talent and for showcasing the beauty and cultural richness of Gilgit-Baltistan.

It is worth mentioning that last year, on Eid-ul-Fitr, Ali Zafar released a Saraiki song titled “Balu Batiyan”, which was met with great appreciation. His notable list of regional hits also includes the Sindhi track “Allay Munja Mar Wara” and the Pashto hit “Larsha Pekhawar”.

With every release, Ali Zafar continues to celebrate Pakistan’s diverse heritage, blending music with the colors of regional culture.
