One Of The Most Chilling Series on Netflix Here we are talking about the documentary series A Deadly American Marriage which has been streaming for a while and chronicles the true story of Jason Corbetts murder. Jason was an Irish businessman who engaged Molly Martens as an ideal pair in 2008 to care for his children Jack and Sarah following the death of his first wife in 2006. Following this their relationship began and they married in 2011 but everything changed in 2015. Based On True Events Molly and her father Thomas viciously murdered Jason on August 2 2015 with a baseball bat and a concrete block. Following Jasons murder investigators discovered a blood-stained room a baseball bat and concrete block at the crime site. Molly and Thomas claimed that Jason had strangled Molly and that Thomas had rescued her. But Thomas 911 call prompted a number of problems. Both were sentenced to 20-25 years in prison for second-degree murder in 2017 but their convictions were reversed on appeal in 2020. The Legal Battle and Custody Molly pled no contest in 2023 while Thomas admitted guilt and was released in June 2024. However following Jasons death his children Jack and Sarah were moved to their aunt Tracy in Ireland. Molly fought for custody but was not granted it. Initially the children accused Jason of violence in favor of Molly but they later stated that Molly had trained them. This series will leave you with a lot of unanswered questions.
