Arsenal are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing a new backup goalkeeper this summer, with David Raya firmly established as the club’s No.1. Mikel Arteta’s side are keen to add depth to the position and have identified Kepa Arrizabalaga as a potential option.
Kepa, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth from Chelsea, impressed with solid performances on the south coast. His experience in the Premier League, coupled with his ability to play out from the back, makes him a suitable fit for Arsenal’s system.
The Gunners have reportedly been informed of Kepa’s €5 million release clause, which is active during the current transfer window. Given his availability and relatively low cost, the 29-year-old Spaniard presents an appealing option as a reliable deputy to Raya.
