Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav targeted the policies and working style of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a grand ceremony organized on the occasion of the coronation day of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Lucknow. He made serious accusations against the BJP of spreading hatred and division in the society. The ceremony was not only an opportunity to remember Shivaji Maharaj’s valor and inclusive rule, but also made a platform to outlines the future political agenda of the SP.
Akhilesh Yadav strongly criticized BJP’s politics as synonymous with lies and propaganda. He said that the BJP’s propaganda system is so powerful that it also leaves Hitler’s notorious publicity minister Joseph Goels behind. “The policies of the BJP are based on dividing the society and spreading hatred. Their maternal organization, which operates from Nagpur, works to spread disharmony in the society without any registration,” Akhilesh said. He claimed that the people of Uttar Pradesh have now woken up and are ready to get the BJP out of power in the 2027 assembly elections.
On this occasion, Akhilesh recalled the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and appreciated his inclusive governance system. He said that Shivaji Maharaj had established a strong empire by taking all religions and communities. His army consisted of people like Muslim commander Noor Khan Baig, who symbolized his secularism and unity. Akhilesh insisted that the Samajwadi Party is also adopting a similar inclusive ideology and is committed to strengthen it.
Akhilesh Yadav revealed the SP’s plans to provide more pride to the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He announced that a grand museum of Shivaji Maharaj would be built in Agra, which will showcase his valor and governance. In addition, a huge statue of Shivaji Maharaj will be installed on the riverfront in Lucknow, in which he will sit on the golden throne. This statue will not only bring their brave saga alive, but will also enrich the cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh.
The leaders of the Sardar Sena present at the ceremony claimed with enthusiasm that the Samajwadi Party government will be formed in Uttar Pradesh in 2027 and Akhilesh Yadav will once again take over the Chief Minister’s chair. Accusing the BJP of corruption and exploitation of the poor, Akhilesh said that the present government has done injustice to the general public, especially backward, Dalit and minority communities (PDA). “The public is now plagued and wants change. Only the solidarity of the PDA can remove the BJP from power,” he insisted.
