Bryan Mbeumo has reportedly made it clear that he wants to join Manchester United rather than sign for Tottenham. The Brentford winger is at the centre of a transfer battle following a sensational season with the Bees.
Mbeumo finished the 2024/25 campaign with 20 Premier League goals to his name, with only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland finding the back of the net on more occasions. He helped Brentford record their best-ever Premier League finish as the Bees ended the campaign in 10th position. And the Cameroon international has come to the attention of United and Tottenham due to his form in west London.
According to , Mbeumo has made his preference to join the Red Devils clear. And his transfer agreement has been communicated to all suitors.
United are the only club currently in formal talks with Brentford over Mbeumo's transfer and are solely focused on trying to agree a fee for the player.
Thomas Frank's expected arrival at Tottenham may change some of Spurs' summer transfer targets, with the 51-year-old working with Mbeumo for the last six years. But any suggestions that Tottenham are attempting to hijack the deal are premature.
