เผยยอดสังเวยสงครามกาซ่า – เอพี รายงานวันที่ 12 มิ.ย. ว่า กระทรวงสาธารณสุขในกาซ่าเปิดเผยว่า ชาวปาเลสไตน์ที่เสียชีวิตจาก สงครามอิสราเอล-ฮามาส ซึ่งยืดเยื้อมานาน 20 เดือนเพิ่มเป็นอย่างน้อย 55,104 ราย ราย โดยจำนวนดังกล่าวไม่ได้แยกระหว่างพลเรือนกับกลุ่มนักรบ แต่ยืนยันว่ามากกว่าครึ่งหนึ่งเป็นผู้หญิงและเด็ก

ส่วนผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บมีอย่างน้อย 127,394 ราย และคาดว่ายังมีอีกหลายคนถูกฝังอยู่ใต้ซากปรักหักพังหรือในพื้นที่ที่หน่วยแพทย์และกู้ภัยไม่สามารถเข้าถึงได้
รายงานระบุด้วยว่ากองกำลังอิสราเอลทำลายพื้นที่ส่วนใหญ่ของฉนวนกาซ่า ทำให้ประชาชนราวร้อยละ 90 ต้องอพยพ และในช่วงไม่กี่สัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมาพื้นที่ชายฝั่งมากกว่าครึ่งหนึ่งกลายเป็นเขตกันชนทางทหาร รวมถึงเมืองราฟาห์ ทางตอนใต้ของกาซ่า ซึ่งปัจจุบันไม่มีผู้อยู่อาศัยแล้ว
