Veteran Indian actor and popular on-screen villain, Prakash Raj, has once again sparked headlines after launching a scathing attack on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In a recent appearance at the Wayanad Literature Festival in Kerala, the actor openly criticized Modi, calling him “shameless, ruthless, and heartless.”

A video clip of Prakash Raj’s remarks from the festival has gone viral. During one session, he was asked about Modi’s recent meeting with the Kapoor family, which took place around the same time as the violent unrest in Manipur. Modi chose not to visit Manipur during the crisis, and the questioner sought Prakash Raj’s view on this contrast.

Responding sharply, Prakash Raj stated, “Let’s be clear—the Kapoor family is from the film industry, and an actor met actors. The Prime Minister didn’t meet them as a leader.” He added that had Manipur been in another country, Modi might have visited just for show, but he failed to go even though it was part of his own nation.

He went on to say, “We need to understand that we have a Prime Minister who has no vision, no purpose, and no real plan.” Using even harsher language, Prakash Raj described Modi as “shameless, insensitive, and devoid of empathy.”

The actor’s video quickly spread across social media, drawing support from many viewers who agreed with his sentiments. Several users hailed him as a “real-life hero,” noting that while he often plays a villain on screen, he speaks the truth off it.

Prakash Raj is known for being a vocal critic of Prime Minister Modi and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), frequently using his platform to speak out against what he sees as injustice and hypocrisy.
