Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Instagram users have a new way to express themselves, as the platform has officially launched an integration with Spotify, allowing you to add music clips directly to your Instagram Notes. This new feature seamlessly blends musical expression with the app’s popular status-sharing function.

The update lets you attach a 30-second clip of any song from Spotify’s vast library to your Note—those short, 60-character text updates that appear at the top of your direct message (DM) inbox for 24 hours. Now, alongside your text, your followers can see what you’re listening to.

When friends and followers view your Note, they can tap on the song to listen to the 30-second preview. A further tap will take them directly to the full song on the Spotify app, creating a smooth discovery experience.

This collaboration is part of Instagram’s ongoing effort to enrich its messaging features and make interactions more personal and dynamic.

How to Add a Spotify Song to Your Instagram Note:

Ready to share your favorite track? The process is simple:

1. Open the Instagram app and navigate to your DM inbox by swiping right from the main feed.
2. Tap on your profile picture where it says “Leave a note” at the top of the screen.
3. Below the text field, you will see a new music icon. Tap on it.
4. This will open a music library where you can search for any song available on Spotify.
5. Once you select a song, you can choose the specific 30-second segment you want to feature.
6. Add any text you’d like to accompany the music clip.
7. Tap “Share” to post the musical Note to your followers.

The feature is currently rolling out to all users on both iOS and Android, adding a fun, auditory layer to your daily social media updates.
