Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey has revealed that his cousin, Clive Kunder, was among those who lost their lives in the recent Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, India.
Clive Kunder, who was serving as the First Officer on the ill-fated flight, tragically died when the aircraft crashed just minutes after takeoff. The incident has deeply affected Vikrant Massey and his family, and the actor shared an emotional message on Instagram to mourn the loss.
In his heartfelt Instagram story, Vikrant expressed his condolences to the families and loved ones of all those who died in the crash. He wrote, “My heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of all those who lost their lives in today’s tragic air accident in Ahmedabad.” He went on to add, “To be honest, it hurts even more knowing that my uncle, Clifford Kundur, lost his son Clive Kundur, who was serving as the First Officer on that unfortunate flight.”
Vikrant further wrote, “May God grant strength to my uncle and his family, as well as to all the families affected by this tragedy.”
The crash took place on Thursday, June 12, when an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner carrying 242 passengers crashed in Ahmedabad shortly after taking off. The flight was headed to London and reportedly took off at 1:38 PM. Moments later, the aircraft collided with a building near the airport, resulting in widespread devastation.
Dramatic footage from the crash site has gone viral on social media, showing the aircraft engulfed in flames. Indian media reports confirm that former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also perished in the crash. In a rare stroke of luck, one passenger, identified as Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, miraculously survived the accident.
