Rajasthan Weather: Rajasthan will get relief from scorching heat, IMD’s new update regarding rain

Rajasthan Weather: The period of scorching heat continues in Rajasthan and the temperature is likely to remain above normal in most parts of the state even on June 13. However, from June 14-15, some divisions may see some change in the weather with light rain and thunderstorms.

Severe heat wave alert in western and northern Rajasthan:
Temperatures are expected to rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the western and northern parts of the state in the next 48 hours. There is a strong possibility of maximum temperatures reaching 47-48 degrees Celsius in Ganganagar and Hanumangarh districts of Bikaner division between June 11 and 13. Severe heat waves and hot nights will continue in these areas, due to which people will have to face extreme heat.

Heatwave effect in other divisions as well
Jodhpur, Jaipur, Bharatpur and Kota divisions are also likely to record maximum temperatures between 44-47 degrees Celsius for the next three days. These divisions will also experience heatwave and hot nights, due to which there will be no relief from the heat both during the day and night. 

Possibility of dust storm and thunderstorm
There is a possibility of strong dust storms (thunderstorms) at a speed of 30-40 kmph in Bikaner division and surrounding areas for the next two days. This may affect the visibility and people have been advised to take precautions.

Weather expected to change from June 14-15
The good news is that light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and storms is expected to begin in some parts of Kota, Udaipur and Bharatpur divisions from June 14-15. Apart from this, there is a possibility of thunderstorms, storms and light rains in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions on June 15 after noon. This rain can provide some relief from the scorching heat.

On June 11, heat wave and intense heat wave were recorded in some parts of the state and hot night was recorded in some parts. The weather remained dry in the state. The highest maximum temperature was recorded at 47.4 degree Celsius in Sri Ganganagar, while the highest minimum temperature was also recorded at 34.6 degree Celsius in Sri Ganganagar.
