News India Live, Digital Desk: Air india accident: The imagination of the aircraft accident also makes you stand up, and when any such fierce incident happens, survival is not less than a miracle. Air India Express aircraft accident (flight 812), which took place on 22 May 2010 in Mangaluru, was one of the most terrible aircraft accidents in India. In this, 158 people died tragically. But from the debris of this death, one life came out smiling – Vishwas Kumar Ramesh. (Please note: The original Zee News URL mentions “Ahmedabad Plain Crash”, but the incident is reference to the Mangaluru accident of 2010, where Vishwas Kumar Ramesh was the only living passenger.)
Vishwas Kumar Ramesh was among the 166 people coming from Dubai to Mangaluru. The aircraft slipped from the runway and fell into the ditch and was engulfed in flames. In such a horrific scene, where there was no hope of escape, Vishwas came out by dodging death. He saw everything burning in front of him with his eyes, lost many people, and became the only witness to that tragedy.
Four years after this heartbreaking incident, in 2014, Vishwas had the opportunity to meet the then Chief Minister of Gujarat and the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This meeting was very touching. Vishwas told Modi ji how he saw that terrible scene in front of his eyes, and how he came out of death. He appreciated Modi ji’s rescue efforts and thanked for his support shown towards him.
What was often discussed in the media as ‘Kahin Mein Baat’ in the media was actually a determination of confidence to fulfill his childhood dream. He told Modi ji that despite this horrific experience, he has not left his dream of becoming a pilot and he is now moving in the same direction. The story of faith inspires not just to survive, but to make dreams come true by fighting difficulties. Their life is proof of the fact that if there is courage and determination, no obstacle is big.
