New Delhi: Having revealed the new Ioniq 6 facelift and the N Line derivative at the Seoul Mobility event, Hyundai has given its first teaser of the all-electric sedan’s full-blown N trim. The South Korean car brandmaker have confirmed that they will be unveiling the Ioniq 6 N at the UK’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, which takes place between July 10th and 13th.
Along with lighter alloy wheels, the performance-focused Hyundai N EC will come with flared fenders and a massive wing spoiler, giving it “aerodynamic efficiency and dynamic capability”. Much like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, it gets the larger brakes and stickier tyres.
One of the major upgrade from the first-gen model, the 2026 Ioniq get a slimmer headlamp setup with the pixel-themed DRLs resembling the Ioniq 9, revised bumper and splitter and a raised bonnet. It also exchanges the prominent ducktail for a discreet extended boot lip.
There is no information available regarding the powertrain setup. In the standard Ioniq 6 and the N Line, models come with a single-motor rear-wheel drive producing 149 bhp, 225 bhp, respectively, while the dual-motor all-wheel drive delivers 321 bhp. It is suspected that the N trim might borrow the Ioniq 5 N SUV’s 650 bhp AWD powertrain.
In more recent times, Hyundai in India have lost their second place in India in terms of sales units, although the company has plans set in motion to regain the spot it had dominated for decades in the country.
