Bihar Weather Update: The mood of the weather is changing in Bihar. While heavy rains brought relief in Kishanganj, heat and humidity troubled people in areas like Buxar. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of strong winds and heavy rains for the next few days. Kishanganj district was the center of rain in the last 24 hours.

126.6 mm of rain was recorded in Pothia and 58.2 mm in Taibpur. The weather remained mostly dry in the rest of Bihar. The temperature in Buxar reached 43.4 degrees Celsius. The lowest was recorded in Kishanganj. Apart from this, heat and humidity troubled people in many districts.

How will the weather be today?
Today, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning and strong winds of 50-60 km/h in north-central and north-eastern Bihar (Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Kishanganj). Light rain and winds of 30-40 km/h may occur at one or two places in north-west and south-east Bihar (West Champaran, Bhagalpur). 

Heavy rain alert:
Meanwhile, a heavy rain alert has been issued in West Champaran and Kishanganj. Also, there is a possibility of strong winds of 50-60 km/h and lightning in Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga and Kishanganj. Meanwhile, humid heat can trouble people in Buxar, Bhojpur and Aurangabad.

Weather forecast for June 17-18:
On June 17, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in most districts of Bihar. There is an alert of heavy rain in West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur.

Monsoon will arrive soon.
Let us tell you that according to IMD, the southwest monsoon has not yet reached the border of Bihar. But it is likely to enter the state in the next 2-3 days. At the same time, due to the active cyclonic system in the Bay of Bengal, rain activities will intensify in eastern and northern Bihar.

The weather department has warned of strong winds, thunderstorms and heavy rains. Especially people living in West Champaran, Kishanganj, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur should be cautious. In view of the possibility of waterlogging and lightning, be careful while going out of the house.
