Under this initiative of the central government, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, which is distributed in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000. Since the 19th instalment was distributed in February 2025, farmers have been eagerly waiting for the release of the 20th instalment. There is good news for crores of farmers waiting for the 20th instalment. According to media reports, the 20th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to be deposited in the accounts of farmers on June 20, 2025. However, there has been no official confirmation from the government.

Reports suggest that more than 9 crore farmers are waiting for the 20th instalment. Beneficiaries are advised to ensure that their eKYC, Aadhaar seeding and land record verification are completed. Let us tell you that PM Kisan is a central sector scheme which is 100% financed by the government. Under this scheme, all landholder farmer families will be provided income support of Rs 6,000/- per year in three equal instalments. The PM-Kisan scheme, launched in 2019, aims to provide income support to small and marginal farmers. More than Rs 3.04 lakh crore has been distributed since the inception of this scheme.
