Google cloud outage: The technical flaw in Google Cloud disrupted major digital services from all over the world, including apps like Spotify, Snapchat, Gmail, Google Maps and Discord. Users from America and other countries, including India, filed a complaint against the downdetector that many services were not working completely. Giving information on its cloud status page, Google said that the problem has been identified and it will be fixed soon.

Companies like Claudflair have shared a detailed analysis on this outage. Although there was speculation on the Internet that it was a cyber attack, but Google and Cloudflair called it a technical flaw. Now Google has confirmed that all services have become completely normal.

Which services were affected?

Due to the technical problem of Google Cloud, many big services including Spotify, Snapchat, Discord, Openai stalled for a few hours. Even Google’s own services such as Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search and Nest were affected.

Cloudflair said that some of his services are dependent on Google Cloud and they also had trouble due to this outage.

Indian users upset

Many Indian users complained to Downdetetor, while the same report came from the US and other areas. According to Cloudflair, the outage lasted for about 2 hours 28 minutes.

Cloudflair’s representative told the media, "This is Google Cloud Outage. Some services of Cloudflair use Google Cloud and due to this affected. We hope that it will be normal soon."

Apart from this, Cloudflair wrote in his blog post, "We are heartbreaking for this outage. This was a failure from us. The immediate cause of this outage was the failure of a third-party vendor, but we are responsible for our dependence and architecture."

Google gave information about the situation

Google was constantly updating on its cloud status page. The company said that the root of the problem has been reached and the engineers were busy fixing it. Services were partially working in many areas but at a slow pace.

Google said in its final update, "Vertex AI Online Prediction Service has become completely normal on 18:18 PDT. All services are now fully recovered from this service problem. As soon as our internal investigation is completed, we will share analysis of this incident. During this time we are grateful to you for patience."

Cyber ​​attack speculation only rumors

During the outage, rumors started spreading on social media that this is the result of a major cyber attack. However, both Google and Cloudflair described it as a completely technical flaw and denied the possibilities of cyber attack.
