Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress figure Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Odisha in the second week of July for a public meeting, as announced by OPCC president Bhakta Charan Das on Thursday.
Das informed the press that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will accompany Gandhi during this visit.
The two prominent leaders are set to engage in a public gathering in Bhubaneswar, focusing on critical issues.
Das confirmed, "Rahul Gandhi's visit to Odisha is confirmed for the second week of July, specifically after the Bahuda Yatra on July 5."
The public meeting aims to address the increasing incidents of violence against women and the recent diarrhoea outbreak in Odisha, alongside the party's 'Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan'.
This will mark Gandhi's first visit to the state as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha following the 2024 elections.
