Raipur: A shocking incident surfaced from Chhattisgarh's Raipur district, where a speeding car rammed into a street vendor and dragged him for several meters on Thursday night. The incident was captured on CCTV and its video surfaced online on Friday.

According to reports, the vendor died in the accident. In the video, it could be seen that when the street vendor was crossing the road, a speeding car rammed into his stall and dragged him for several metres. According to reports, he died on the spot.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. The incident took place at night in the Boladabazar area of Saragaon village in the district. Locals chased the car and reportedly nabbed the driver. He was later handed over to the police.

A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.

In another incident which took place in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur, a speeding truck rammed into a car changing lanes and dragged it for over 100 metres. The incident, which took place on the Mhow-Neemuch highway near Bhavgarh Fante, was caught on CCTV and has since gone viral on the internet. All occupants of the car escaped unhurt.
