The Rajasthan government has initiated a substantial reshuffle within its bureaucracy, resulting in the transfer of 62 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The personnel department released the transfer list late Sunday night, which includes the reassignment of eight additional chief secretaries and 11 district collectors.
Senior IAS officer Akhil Arora has been moved from the finance department after nearly five years to take on the role of additional chief secretary in the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED).
Aparna Arora has been appointed as the additional chief secretary for the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, transitioning from the Forest Department. Similarly, Kuldeep Ranka has been designated as the additional chief secretary for Higher and Technical Education, previously serving in the same capacity in the Social Justice and Empowerment Department.
Anand Kumar, the additional chief secretary of the Home Department, has been reassigned to the Forest Department as additional chief secretary. Alok Gupta, the chief secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the principal secretary of the Industry Department. This reshuffle also includes changes in district collectors for regions such as Phalodi, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Kotputli, Didwana-Kuchaman, Sawai Madhopur, Rajsamand, Tonk, Bharatpur, Kota, and Beawar.
