Nigel Farage has unveiled plans aimed at attracting the wealthy to Britain while also boosting the country's poorest workers.

The Reform UK leader used a press conference this morning to announce the Britannia Card which would see non-doms pay £250,000 in exchange for a bespoke tax system. The proceeds would then be redistributed to the 10% lowest earners with the party estimating a tax-free payment of up to £1,000 a year.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr Farage said Reform UK wants "as many risk-takers" and "job creators" and "as many people paying lots of tax" in Britain.

He added: "Many talented people are leaving, and we want as a party as many entrepreneurs, as many risk-takers, as many job creators, as many people paying lots of tax, as many people investing huge sums of money - we want as many of them as possible to be in our country."
