Islamabad. After India’s Operation Sindoor, Pakistan is desperate for talks with New Delhi. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is so restless that he is making recommendations to different countries to get him to talk to India. Just a few days ago, Shahbaz had appealed to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to get him to talk to India. Now he has made a similar recommendation to Saudi Arabia.
Shahbaz Sharif has made a big statement regarding relations with India. He has said that his country is ready to have “meaningful talks” on all pending issues including Jammu and Kashmir, water dispute, trade and terrorism. He said this during a telephone conversation with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Tuesday.
According to the report, Prime Minister Sharif said that Pakistan wants lasting peace in the region and for this it is ready to discuss all major issues. He said that “Pakistan wants to have meaningful and serious talks with India on issues like Jammu and Kashmir, water dispute, trade and terrorism.” Another important part of the conversation between Prime Minister Sharif and the Saudi Crown Prince was the current situation in West Asia. Both leaders discussed the need to maintain peace and stability in the region and agreed to further strengthen mutual cooperation.
India’s surgical and water strikes have frightened Pakistan. That is why Pakistan is now talking about improving its relations with India. Let us tell you that India-Pakistan relations have been tense for a long time on the issues of Jammu and Kashmir and terrorism. Recent developments have once again brought these relations to a low level. However, this latest statement of the Prime Minister of Pakistan revives the possibilities of dialogue between the two countries.
