Weather Alert- Meteorological Department has warned, there will be heavy rain in these states

Friends, monsoon is in full swing in the country, rain has provided relief to the people from the scorching heat, but due to the rain, flood-like conditions have occurred in many places, due to which the Meteorological Department has once again issued a warning regarding many states. There is a possibility of heavy rain, lightning and flood-like conditions in the coming days. Let us know in which states there may be heavy rain-

Heavy rain alert in these states

Maharashtra - Possibility of heavy rain especially in Mumbai, Thane, Ratnagiri and Raigad districts.

Gujarat - Possibility of heavy rain in Saurashtra and South Gujarat areas.

Rajasthan - Danger of lightning along with heavy rain in districts like Kota, Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Banswara.

Madhya Pradesh - Torrential rain is expected in the western parts.

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh - Possibility of landslides and heavy rains in hilly areas.

Bihar and Jharkhand – Alert of lightning and heavy rain in some areas.

Northeastern states – Warning of rising water level of rivers with heavy rains in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh.

Weather department warning

Red and orange alerts have been issued in many areas.

Waterlogging and flood-like situation may occur in low-lying areas.

There is a danger of landslides in mountainous areas.

Precautions that are important

Check IMD website or local news channels regularly for weather updates.

Avoid going out of the house in heavy rain, especially do not go near rivers and reservoirs.

Take special care while driving – slippery and low visibility can cause accidents.

Be sure to know the route before traveling in hilly areas.

Do not stand under trees during lightning, reduce the use of mobile and metal objects.

Benefits: Good time for farming, improvement in water level.

Damage: Flooding, traffic disruption, public life disrupted.
