Train Fare Hikes: Crores of passengers travel by train every day in the country. Thousands of trains are run by the Railways for these passengers. Train fare is less than flight. And this is also a reason why most people prefer to travel by train than flight. But now it may be a bit difficult for train passengers to travel.

Because Indian Railways has announced to increase the fare in the train. From July 1, 2025, the increased fare will be applicable for the passengers. Let us tell you how expensive your journey will become, for which trains the fare has been increased by the Railways.

Train fare will increase from July 1

Passengers traveling by train will now have to pay more money. According to the information received from the railways, the fare of trains will be increased from July 1. If someone travels in an AC coach, then he will have to pay two paise extra for every kilometer. If you are traveling in non-AC mail and express trains, then you will have to pay one paisa extra per kilometer. If you are traveling in AC class, then you will have to pay two paise extra per kilometer.

This much extra fare will have to be paid

That is, if you are traveling 500 kilometers and you are traveling in a non-AC coach, then according to your current fare, you may have to pay 5 rupees extra on the fare from July 1. On the other hand, if you are traveling in AC, then you may have to pay 10 rupees extra. If your journey is more than 1000 kilometers, then you will have to pay 10 rupees extra for traveling in non-AC and 20 rupees extra for traveling in AC.

Railways will benefit this much

Let us tell you that crores of passengers travel by railways every day. If we look at it from the perspective of each passenger, this hike in fare may not seem like much.
