ISIS India head Saqib Nachan dies, was convicted in Mumbai serial blast case

New Delhi. Terrorist organization ISIS’s India head Saqib Nachan died during treatment in the hospital this afternoon. It is being said that he died due to brain hemorrhage. Although Saqib was lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail for a long time, but due to ill health, he was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital on 24 June. His full name was Saqib Abdul Hameed Nachan and he was a resident of Padhga in Thane district of Maharashtra. He was earlier associated with Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), but later became an active member of ISIS.

Saqib’s body will be handed over to his family after the post-mortem. Saqib was also accused of being involved in the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai in the year 2002-03. He was sentenced to 10 years in jail in this case. After completing the sentence, Saqib came out of jail in the year 2017. After this, he got involved in activities to the terrorist organization ISIS. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) launched a campaign against the ISIS module in the year 2023 and under this Saqib was arrested.

According to the NIA, Saqib used to motivate radical youth to join ISIS in India. He used to train these youth and was also accused of plotting terrorist attacks. Saqib also used to arrange funding for ISIS in India. Not only this, he was also an expert in making explosive devices and also used to train newly recruited youth. Investigation agencies had registered cases against Saqib under serious sections to treason, UAPA and spreading terrorism. According to the NIA, Saqib’s name was also associated with many international terrorist modules.
