In Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, a farmer tragically lost his life due to an electric shock on Tuesday. Following this incident, the victim's nephew has lodged a complaint against officials from the electricity department at the Dankaur police station.
According to Munendra Kumar Singh, the officer in charge of the Dankaur police station, a man named Kailash reported the incident late Tuesday night. He stated that his uncle, Satish, died after being electrocuted by a transformer located near their fields in Doula Rajapur.
Additionally, his cousins sustained serious injuries in the incident. Kailash mentioned that despite objections, the electricity department had installed the transformer adjacent to Satish's farmland.
Singh confirmed that based on the victim's complaint, a case has been registered against the executive engineer, SDO, and other electrical staff from the Shyam Nagar substation for negligence leading to death, and the police are currently investigating the matter.
