Samsung is set to unveil its next-gen foldables at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9 in New Yorkand now a new leak has almost confirmed the arrival of a third device — the much-rumored Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. This Fan Edition model could mark Samsung’s move to make foldables more accessible to a wider audience.
The buzz began when Spigena major phone case maker, accidentally listed cases for both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE on its website. Although the listings were quickly removed, they were already indexed by Googlemaking the device names visible in search results. While no images or specs were revealed, the naming alone has strengthened rumors about a cheaper foldable variant.
This leak backs earlier reports suggesting Samsung plans to adopt a dual-device strategy. The regular Z Flip 7 is expected to offer premium features, while the Flip 7 FE may come as a budget-friendly alternative aimed at younger users and first-time foldable buyers. Leaks suggest the FE version could share design traits with the Z Flip 6 and run on the Exynos 2400e processora scaled-down chip from the Galaxy S24 lineup.
The standard Galaxy Z Flip 7 is likely to carry flagship hardwarewith a possible edge-to-edge cover screen and a switch from Qualcomm to Samsung’s own Exynos chip. If true, this could impact performance expectations but also allow Samsung to optimize hardware and software more tightly.
With competition rising from devices like the Moto Razr 2025 and Nubia Flipthe Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could give Samsung an edge in the affordable foldables market. By offering a trimmed-down version without cutting too deep into the user experience, Samsung may finally crack the code for mainstream foldable adoption.
