New York A married couple was not getting the happiness of children for almost 18 years. However, he did not give up hope. Now they are going to become parents with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI discovered sperm that traditional techniques could not recognize. The name of this miraculous technique is Star (Sperm Tracking and Recovery), which has been developed at Columbia University Fertility Center in New York.
This technique has come especially as a boon for men who suffer from educarmia. This is a condition in which no sperm is present in the male semen.
The inspiration of this technique is taken from space research. Dr. Zeve Williams, director of Colombia Center, said, “We are now using the technology finding life in the universe to create life on earth.”
In this, 8 million frames of a semen sample were scanned in less than an hour through high-employment imaging. AI discovered three of these living sperm, which could not be seen with traditional microscope and tests.
The sperm identified by AI was then extremely tenderly with a micro-robot, which led to their quality. The IVF process then mixed the eggs of the woman with these sperm. Today the woman is 5 months pregnant. May give birth to children in December.
Star technology is currently available only at Columbia University. The cost of the entire process is around $ 3,000 i.e. 2.5 lakh rupees. This is much cheaper than the traditional IVF process.
Let us tell you that 10 to 15% of men in America are struggling with infertility problems. Globally, there is a decline in sperm numbers, due to which the possible reasons are obesity, poor catering, lifestyle and pollution.
Dr. Williams said that the treatment of many more patients has started from the star system. He said, “The men who ever thought that they would not be able to become a biological father, they now have a true opportunity.”
